1. Always meet sellers at their residence. Ask for proof of identity e.g. passport/driver's license. Insist on seeing puppies and the mother.
 
2. Make sure Puppies are 8 weeks old or older and in good health and ask what vet vaccinated/microchipped them.
 
3. Avoid online transactions or upfront payments e.g. down payment to hold a pup/dog.
 
4. Print out the ad with photos of the dog/pup & make sure the dog/pup is the same as advertised.
 

5. Make sure all paperwork is in order including vaccinations. Make sure microchips are the same as advertised and registered to one of the approved databases.
